Keep on Believing

Keep on Believing

Verse 1-
The morning light
shines through my window
Leaving me with questions
Is this a sign?
Could it be
that things are turning around?

Things can’t always
always go right
But things can’t forever
forever go wrong.

So I’ll just look up
and watch the clouds part
Keep on believing
Keep on believing
Keep on believing
with all of my heart.

Chorus-
Cover me when the winds of test blow
Rescue me,
from the things that I don’t know.
Your wisdom is greater
 than all I can see
Your love is deeper
than every part of me
I won’t try to
figure you out
I’ll just keep on believing without any doubt.  I’ll just keep on believing without any doubt.

Hope Anew Song

Hope Anew

Verse 1-
The days seem long,
yet time is slipping away.

The nights are cold,
yet the heat of pain seems to stay

I feel so alone,
all by myself,
Where have they gone?
Why have they run away?

Must I face this on my own?
Is there no one to stand by me?
If they could only see
 how much I need,
to be loved, to belong.

Chorus-
Coming together
for such a great cause
Looking beyond
each and every fault
Taking the hand
of the one who needs you
This is the time
for my love to be true.
Oh …This is the time for hope  anew.

IF

If I had never been all alone....I would never have known how present God is.
If I had never been hurting....I would never know how he comforts.
If I had never been poor...I would never know what an amazing provider he is.
If I had never been hopeless..I would never know that HE is the greatest hope I have.
If I had never failed...I would never understand how Christ grace works.
If I had never been weak....I would have never known that God IS my strength.

So I have learned that through every test and every trial....to open my eyes spiritually and see what God is to me at that moment.

Starting early....

When I was a teenager I remember our youth groups going to Juvenile Delinquent, Convalescent Homes, Boys Ranch.  We went gave testimonies, sang and ministered to them.  We were taught to give of our time, heart and become bold.  We didn't just have pizza parties and play church.  We went and knocked on doors inviting people to church.  It was hard because I was shy but I knew it needed to be done.  It did help bring me out of my shell.

I loved our youth group and what God was doing through us.  I learned so much about ministry.  We would usually go on Sunday afternoon between services.  We were always welcomed and you could see God doing great things.

I believe that a youth have't to be taught not just told what to do.  They need to be required to do for others and be involved if they are going to be a next generation of world changers.  Load them up in a van and take them to minister to the elderly.  Love the kids that are in trouble.  Feed the homeless.  Help a single Mom with her yard.  Whatever is needed they need to learn at a young age to not be selfish but selfless in God's Kingdom.

So thankful for the teaching I received and Godly life I was shown.  To be the hands, feet, and voice of God.

Good books to read

I love this site.  You can share books you have read and see reviews on what others have read.  Check it out.

Summer days of Youth

I remember being little.  Maybe about 5 or 6 years old.  I loved playing outside.  I was a bit of a tom boy.  I loved to play in the dirt and mud.  We were poor so I didn't have alot but I knew how to use my imagination.

I would take the old metal wash tub and fill it up and that was my pool...hahahaha.  Back then the AOG Church were very strict and you weren't allowed to wear a swim suit.  So I didn't even learn to swim.  I didn't even own a swim suit but I would wait till Daddy went to work then throw on my slip and go outside and get in the tub.  I loved it. lolol

Later on I learned to just dig a hole in the ground and fill it up.  lol

We had Chickens, dogs running around.  I would gather them and have a grand ole time with them.  Rather playing house, church, or store....I played with the animals.  My sisters were all grown and I had no one to play with so...I utilized the nature around me.

I remember I really loved rocks.  I would go rock collecting and have a bag full, bring it in, next day I would go outside and see similar rocks as I had collected the day before.  Finally he dawned on me that Momma was dumping them back in the yard.....lolol Ugh! hahaha

I loved watching Batman and Robin...sooooo....I would put Momma's apron around my shoulders and jump on my bike and off I would go on an adventure.

Yes life was so full of creative adventure then.  I cherish those times even though I was a bit lonely, Nature, animals and God always had a way of spicing things up.
