LOOK AT THAT FRUIT!

Ladies: Before choosing a husband, watch his walk with God. Check out the fruit he is producing. If he is not grounded in God and loyal to God; what would make you think he would be loyal to you.

If he is committed to God and faithful to God, then you can trust his leadership in your relationship. Hooking up with an unstable man is like getting out of the drivers seat, handing the keys to your car and saying take me wherever. That is exactly where you'll end up.....WHEREVER. With no guarantee that you won't end up in a messy wreck along the way. He will take you off course and you'll sit and wonder how in the world you got there.

If the man you choose has not learned to obey God, then he can't lead correctly. You'll end up having to carry loads that don't belong to you. You'll end up leading when he is meant to lead. Two drivers in a car don't work. One has to lead and the other follow, support and encourage.

You must know that he not only hears God, but listens to God and then OBEYS God. That kind of man you can trust to lead you in God's perfect will and direction.

Have the patience to wait for God to send you the perfect one. NOT someone perfect but someone that is designed for you and what he wants to accomplish through and for you.

"When God made you"

Juzzzz saying Ladies.......be careful who you hook up with.

Check out what James had to say about an unstable man......

Scripture:

James 1:
1I, James, am a slave of God and the Master Jesus, writing to the twelve tribes scattered to Kingdom Come: Hello!
Faith Under Pressure
2-4 Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.
5-8If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.
9-11 When down-and-outers get a break, cheer! And when the arrogant rich are brought down to size, cheer! Prosperity is as short-lived as a wildflower, so don’t ever count on it. You know that as soon as the sun rises, pouring down its scorching heat, the flower withers. Its petals wilt and, before you know it, that beautiful face is a barren stem. Well, that’s a picture of the “prosperous life.” At the very moment everyone is looking on in admiration, it fades away to nothing.
12 Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.
13-15 Don’t let anyone under pressure to give in to evil say, “God is trying to trip me up.” God is impervious to evil, and puts evil in no one’s way. The temptation to give in to evil comes from us and only us. We have no one to blame but the leering, seducing flare-up of our own lust. Lust gets pregnant, and has a baby: sin! Sin grows up to adulthood, and becomes a real killer.
16-18 So, my very dear friends, don’t get thrown off course. Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light. There is nothing deceitful in God, nothing two-faced, nothing fickle. He brought us to life using the true Word, showing us off as the crown of all his creatures.
Act on What You Hear
19-21Post this at all the intersections, dear friends: Lead with your ears, follow up with your tongue, and let anger straggle along in the rear. God’s righteousness doesn’t grow from human anger. So throw all spoiled virtue and cancerous evil in the garbage. In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation-garden of your life.
22-24 Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! Those who hear and don’t act are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who they are, what they look like.
25 But whoever catches a glimpse of the revealed counsel of God—the free life!—even out of the corner of his eye, and sticks with it, is no distracted scatterbrain but a man or woman of action. That person will find delight and affirmation in the action.
26-27 Anyone who sets himself up as “religious” by talking a good game is self-deceived. This kind of religion is hot air and only hot air. Real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight, and guard against corruption from the godless world.

5 Traits of a Good Man

5 Traits of A Good Man

BY: FARRAH GRAY

5-traits-good-man

1. PROMISES –  A man’s word is his currency.  A respectable  man is a man of his word. He says what he means and means what he says. His word is his bond. A good man will keep his promises to his woman. He won’t break dates and be a no call and no show. He will not play with your emotions.  He remembers to call you when he says he will. A man who values his woman keeps his promises. That is the way he shows that he cares.

2.  Intimacy is something that is natural to human nature. However, pressuring a woman whom he just met for sex is not of a good man’s nature. A man who has any intentions of being a good mate to youdoes not pressure you for sex when he meets you. A woman is not a vehicle to be driven. Her bodydoes not need to be test driven. A woman is a gift from God, and her time, attention and affection should be appreciated, not taken for granted. If a woman meets a man who wants to test drive her physical body, emotions and feelings, it’s best that she point him to a car dealership, bid him goodbye and don’t look back! A woman deserves a good man who will respect her.

3. A good man will let a woman know what place she has in his life. He will give you a title, whether that title be friend, girlfriend, boo, woman, lady, or wife, he will introduce you as such. He will introduce you according to how he feels about a woman, no surprises. Good men in general tend to be very protective. We mark our territory. If a good man loves you, he is willing to profess it to others.

4.  A good man is not a selfish man. He puts his woman first and is always sure to address any issues or concerns that she may have. A good man desires to do things that make his woman happy. The opinions of his lady count to him. He understands that a happy wife means a happy life.

5.  When a good man wakes up in the morning, his mission is to make sure that his family is taken care of in every way, to the best of his ability. He wants to make sure his woman is happy and satisfied. Providing for the people he loves and cares about, whether it’s financially or with sweat equity, it’s all a part of a good man’s DNA. A good man has no limits to the things he provides for those he loves.* A good man believes in uplifting his community, whether that be in terms of mentorship, volunteering his time or allowing himself to be an image that youth can look up to.  The people in his life label him as a good man.
A good man has a desire to protect and provide for his woman. Even if he may currently not have the financial ability to provide for a woman he still has a deep desire to. If he doesn’t want to see his mother working diligently chances are he does not want to see his woman work diligently either.

Contentment

Psalm 16:5

Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.

Contentment  is essentially a matter of accepting from God's hand what He sends because we know that he is good and therefore it is good.
(words of theologian J.I. Packer)

Calm My Anxious Heart
By: Linda Dillow

Insert of the book:

"Teacup Theology"

Let's go back to our teacup analogy. God has lovingly assigned each of us to be a uniquely special teacup. Perhaps we're an antique cup, painted with dainty roses set in gold. Maybe we see ourselves as an everyday cup--useful, but a little chipped around the edges. Or we could be a heavy duty mug--rugged, unbreakable, and able to hold much.

Then God fills our cup with our portion, what HE determines best. Our portion is our physical and emotional being, our abilities, circumstances, roles, and relationships.

Sometimes we don't like what's been poured into our cup. Remember the Lord Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane? When He saw the suffering He was about to endure, He pleaded, "Father if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done" (Luke 22:42). Christ grasped the handle of His cup and lifted it to God and said, "I accept my portion. Infuse me with YOUR strength that I may drink."

Every cup-- whether dainty china or rough heavy-hewn pottery--has a handle. God has placed our portion in our cup. We either choose to grasp it by the handle and lift it to Him saying, "I accept this cup," or we choose to smash our cup to pieces, saying, "God, I refuse my portion." This cup is not the right size for me and I don't like what You've put in it. I'll control my life myself.

**This is an awesome book. It is helping me understand that even though something may be God's will, not everyone excepts God's will. We have a choice. Some people chose to do things their own way because they have not let God work his perfect work.

I want more than anything to always embrace what God has for me. To wait upon HIS will and learn to always be content in whatever state I am in.

JOSEPH

JOSEPH:

I believe alot of people can relate to the story in the bible of Joseph. He was given dreams and visions from God of what would be. He told of them, and no one believed him.  In fact everything but the visions began to happen. The jealousy of his brothers lead him to a pit and then to be sold as a slave. It was a confusing, painful time.

That was not what God showed him. That was not the reigning he was given dreams of. Joseph never dreamed of having to walk through such pain, rejection, betrayal and loss. It was in that time of journey that God was teaching him some of the greatest lessons in life.

1. Adjust- wherever you are adjust. You don't have't to stay there but have a grateful heart no matter where you are in life.

2. Trust- Trusting God when everything looks the total opposite of what God showed you. Trust even though you can't see God's hand work or the outcome.

3. Be a Vessel of God- Even in jail, Joseph allowed God to use him and minister to people. His situation didn't stop the flow of God in his life.

4. Don't get tripped up- The enemy will always set a snare and you have't to be wise enough and have the discernment to know when to walk away and say not.

5. Manifestation will come- God did deliver him out of jail and set him up to reign 2nd to command.

6. Forgiveness- Even though he had been treated cruelly, and disregarded, God still required him to forgive the ones who hurt him the most. He had to see that what the enemy meant for his destruction...God meant for his elevation.

We have't to grow into where God wants us to be. There are  issues in our lives that we have not dealt with,  we must recognize and heal from. There are people and things that we must shed. There are security blankets that must be packed away, and character built in us for such a great cause.

I encourage each of you to know that whatever God has declared over your life, it will be. There may be road construction on the way, potholes, growing to do....but you must continue trust and let God be God and fulfill his declarations and promises over your life his way.

"KNOWING WHO CAN GIVE WHAT"

Song- Strength of my Life By:Carlos Stevenson

joy

/joi/

  1. A feeling of great pleasure and happiness.
  2. A thing that causes joy.
Synonyms
delight - gladness - pleasure - mirth - rejoicing

Song- You Are By:Richard Smallwood

ful·fill·ment

/fo͝olˈfilmənt/
Noun
  1. Satisfaction or happiness as a result of fully developing one's abilities or character.
  2. The achievement of something desired, promised, or predicted: "winning the championship was the fulfillment of a childhood dream".
Synonyms
fulfilment - accomplishment - performance - execution

***Often we get the two confused.  We believe that people can fulfill us, complete us, when in fact only God can.

God blesses us with relationships, family, children, and friends, but we must remember what role they play in our lives. If you seek to find security only in a spouse, or relationship, you will never be stable. If you seek to be totally satisfied with a person, you will be disappointed. When you seek your confidence only in a person, you will be saddened. God did not create Eve to take HIS place but to add to the relationship that was already established with Adam.
We must learn to find our true satisfaction and self esteem of who we are in, in God. Enjoy the blessings God gives you but understand, when you are dealing with humans, they can fail and disappoint you. When you deal with God, HE is NEVER changing or leaving you.

Build a solid foundation with God and allow God to add to your life daily his blessings of relationships.

THERE'S A WAR INSIDE OF MAN

Galations 5: 22But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, 23Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].

Christ can rid you of inner conflict. Man without God is always torn between two urges. His nature prompts him to do wrong, and his conscience urges him to do right. Antagonistic desires and crossed-up emotions keep him in a state of personal instability. Medical men have almost concluded that theis conflict if the basis of much physical breakdown and nervous collapse. Many doctors now believe that among the contributing causes of the common cold are stress, tension, and inner conflict. Paul must have been in the midst of such a personal civil war when he cried "O wretched man that I am!Who shall deliver me from the body of death?" Then he answered his own question when he said "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord."
