Willing Vessel

Song - Until the Whole World Hears By: Casting Crowns

When you are walking through rough times, it is easy to pull away, sometimes that's ok,  for a time. Eventually though, you need to let people in to love you, comfort you and walk through things with you.

I have seen God love me so deeply through friends.  I could feel his deep love for me, through them.  Their hands that reached out to me, were his hands,  their arms that held me, were his arms.

That is an amazing feeling to experience.  That is what I long to be.  A vessel that God has emptied so HE can fill me up with himself to pour out onto others.  If we are full of ourselves....our thoughts, opinions, cares, education, theology...then we can miss what God is wanting to do and say through us.  Because his ways are NOT our ways.  He does things so differently.  So he empties us, allows us to go through a time of stripping us, to purify us to be a vessel that will depend on him, be obedient to him.

My Prayer Today:

Pour me out today on someone.  Speak your words through me. Let what I say and do be what you would say and do.  Change someone's life, help someone, love someone, heal someone "Through me".

"WHAT YOU SAY IS WHAT YOU GET"

Song - Psalm 18 By: Clint Brown
God will be whatever you need him to be.

Song "What you say is what you get" by: Reba McGuire
*******************************************
Whatever you are facing or dealing with, God has a word for you.  If it is sickness ....HE is your healer.  If you are weak....HE is your strength.  If you are living in poverty....HE is your provision.  If you are hurting....HE will heal you and protect you.  Nothing is impossible with God.  When you call him, he will answer.
********************************************************************************
SICKNESS-
*Jeremiah 30:17 For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast:‘It is Zion, for whom no one cares!’

*Deuteronomy 7:15 And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you knew, will he inflict on you, but he will lay them on all who hate you.

*Exodus 23:25 You shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.

*Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

* Psalms 105:37 (KJV) He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
* Psalms 107:20 He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.
* Matthew 12:15 Jesus, aware of this, withdrew from there. And many followed him, and he healed them all
*Matthew 14:14 When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

WEAKNESS-
*Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. (Psalm 105:4)
*The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. (Psalm 145:14)
*You give me your shield of victory,, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great. (Psalm 18:35)
*Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD. (Psalm 31:24)

Poverty-
*Deuteronomy 15:11 For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

*Matthew 5:42 Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.

*
Matthew 25:35-40 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

*
Luke 3:10-11 And the crowds asked him, “What then shall we do?” And he answered them, “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.”

HURTING-
*Psalms 9:9 The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.

* Psalms 27:4-5 One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple. For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock

* Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
1 Peter 5:6-7 (KJV) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
